a RECOGNIZED campus

Our Mission

was to set a goal of Educational Excellence for ALL our students and show how Travis Heights Elementary is an AISD Shining Star example for the 21st Century.  We’re doing it!

Through “The Power Of Us”... staff, students, parents and community focused on serving every student every day. We are proud of this effort and the rating of Recognized that we earned realizing the potential of our students and demonstrating the capabilities of our campus to deliver.

This year promises even brighter success!

We have implemented exciting new programs that target the needs of our students.  This is our second year being one of the two pilot programs for Gifted & Talented in AISD and this year we have implemented DIPS & Esperanza:  Dyslexia and Reading Intervention Programs for struggling readers.

With a strong faculty of dedicated professionals and an active, involved community- Travis Heights Elementary is experiencing exciting growth in both our educational offerings on campus and our effectiveness at developing successful learners.  Come see why we ARE headed toward Exemplary!

Did You Know?  The Power of Us!

Austin is an incredible city. Did you know that we’re in the top five on lists of U.S. cities that are rated the best places to Relocate Families, the Most Connected (internet), Smartest Places to Live, Most Educated, Most Fit, Fastest Growing, and, my favorite, Coolest? Many of you have had a large part in guiding us into those ranks. But here’s what I want. I want that list to include: Best Public School District.

And, with your help, there’s no reason we can’t get there. We just have to tap into the Power of Austin Independent School District, the Power of Austin, The Power of Us.
